This analysis aims to identify potential and current capacities of the five universities from the South-western Indian Ocean for the development of a fisheries management programme. It draws on a questionnaire sent to all partners (see Annex). The analysis examines areas such as:
• General information
• Fisheries capacity
• Fisheries education
• Links with external stakeholders & other research initiatives
Each section provides an overall view of each university and concludes with observations on key points.
