The FisherMan kick off was held at the University of Alicante on the 18th of November 2013 together with another 5 EDULINK projects that pursued to fulfil the overall objective of the EDULINK Programme, which is to foster capacity building and regional integration in the field of higher education through institutional networking.
A programme and project introduction was delivered in this jointly session, and afterwards FisherMan kick off meeting was focused on the presentation and distribution of project activities amongst all partners, with a special focus on the first year of project activities. In particular to the first project activity, which is an analytical assessment of the current situation. This analysis aims at identifying potential current capacities of the five universities in developing a fisheries management programmes.
